Last Planner® System in action - parts 1 & 2

With reports estimating that only 50% of projects are completed on time, Glenn Ballard has created the Last Planner® System (LPS) to improve this performance.

LPS is an alternative collaborative-based approach to project planning and execution and is described as a “Socio Technical System”.  Key to its success is not only the application of the process, but the engagement of contractors to develop the plan together and be accountable to each other. Benefits from using this approach include increased schedule adherence, improved quality and reduction in accidents.

This workshop highlights the Last Planner® System in action, with a focus on Pull Scheduling, where you will interact directly with the activity of developing a Pull Plan, executing the plan and measuring the performance of the plan. Upon completion of both sessions, attendees will be able to:
  1. Describe the differences between the Traditional Based approach to Project Planning and Execution and Last Planner System.
  2. Understand the alignment of the Last Planner® System with Lean Thinking.
  3. Describe the Six Key Phases of the Last Planner® System.
  4. Apply Pull Scheduling to improve your next Project Planning and Execution.
